The pressure limitation on those plants where elevated temperatures might be reached is of fundamental importance for safeguarding the integrity of both the persons and the plant itself. To that end, a safety valve enabling the excess pressure to be discharged is usually inserted at a point that lies immediately downstream of the generator’s output.
Calibrated in a laboratory, the safety valve guarantees its intervention when it is subjected to too high a stimulation, by discharging part of the fluid contained in the plant and bringing it back to a safe condition. The fluid discharged by this action will then be reinstated into the pipes, a task usually entrusted to a filling device.
One of the peculiarities of every
safety valve produced by GNALI BOCIA is to guarantee the restraint, i.e. its action is only carried out in the event of a marked excess over the calibration process, thereby avoiding the continuous drip system of the plant.
In order to ensure a constant operation over time, the sealing junction of the safety valve is realized in a special synthetic rubber capable of avoiding pasting, being a phenomenon which might dangerously shift the calibration point upwards.
Within the range of these items, there are also models with a manual control lever for draining the plant, being an operation demanded in special cases.
