Over the years, the development of technology enabling the realisation of highly efficient sanitary installations for the accumulation of water has led to improvements in safety standards. The safety valve in particular is a tool of prime importance introduced for better protection of the health of all those who use water heaters and boilers. The operational principle of the safety valve is based on a spring preloaded in accordance with calibration values decided at the design stage. The spring presses with the preloaded force onto a shutter. The spring stays in position against the shutter until the internal pressure of the conduit reaches a level that causes the shutter to open, allowing the liquid to flow out and therefore reducing the pressure inside the conduit to normal levels.
The safety valves manufactured by Gnali Bocia also provide and anti-drip function. This is facilitated by a mechanism made up of a gasket, a guide rod and a ring nut that allows the activation of the valve safety unit only for very high liquid pressures, thus avoiding periodic and annoying dripping.
In addition to shape and form, the safety valves are divided according to their capacity to allow manual discharge.
Safety valves of this type are used in environments where anyone can be authorised to manage the valve. In environments where it is necessary that any intervention is limited only to the operators the manual discharge functionality is not included.
